If skiing or snowboarding is on your winter bucket list, you’re in luck! The Swiss Valley Ski & Snowboard Area is located just half an hour’s drive away from Main Street Village. So, bundle up in your warmest clothes, load up the car, and prepare to have a blast in a winter wonderland. If this is your first time skiing, remember to check out this skiing resort’s helpful tips before planning your trip.

Facilities At The Swiss Valley Ski & Snowboard Area

There are 11 runs (which range in difficulty), a terrain park, a full-service restaurant, a cafe (for grab-and-go meals), and a ski & board shop on site. The runs are lighted, so you can enjoy the slopes even after the sun goes down. Additionally, 7 lifts ferry skiers up and down the slopes all day long.

The Ski & Board Shop carries everything you need to be successful on the slopes. You can rent skis, snowboards, poles, boots, helmets, jackets, pants, and goggles. If you’re an avid skier, you’ll love the wide selection of top notch skiing accessories there. What’s more, you can try your skis and snowboards before you purchase them. You can also bring in your used skis and snowboards, and the Ski & Board Shop will sell them for you. You get 100% of the sale price back in the form of a Swiss Valley Gift card.

After you’ve worked up an appetite, grab some delicious pub grub from The Chalet. However, if you prefer to spend more time on the slopes, Cafe 225 has grab-and-go food items, such as sandwiches and soups.

Rates At The Swiss Valley Ski & Snowboard Area

On Saturdays, a regular adult lift ticket costs $42 and allows you to ski from 9 am until 10 pm. If you need to rent equipment, it will cost another $23 (plus $10 if you need a helmet). However, if you ski between 5 pm and 10 pm, you can take advantage of the 2-for-1 special.

Rates are cheaper on weekdays, and you also save if you buy a combination Saturday/Sunday ticket. Additionally, you only pay $10 if you prefer to stay in the beginner area.
