Living in Granger puts you right next door to downtown South Bend, so it’s easy to take part in one of the region’s largest St. Paddy’s Day celebrations. Beginning Monday, March 12, you’ll find a party every night. So, what are you waiting for? Join the fun and attend South Bend’s St. Patrick’s Day Celebration. There’s no better way to welcome spring.
The Build Up to St. Patrick’s Day
Starting Monday, March 12, enjoy live music at the Fiddler’s Hearth Public House. Here, you can enjoy a pint of Irish ale while you tap your feet to Irish tunes. You can spend all day and night dancing on Saturday and wrap up the week-long celebration with a two-hour show on Sunday.
The St. Paddy’s Day Tent Party and Pub Tour is the largest party of the week-long celebration. Friday, March 16, enjoy drinks and live bands under a dedicated party tent beginning at 5 pm. There will also be a shuttle running to and from local pubs all evening.
Something for Everyone on St. Patrick’s Day
The 20th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade begins at 11 am on Saturday, March 17. Last year over 1800 participated while even more lined the streets. Be sure to arrive early if you want a good view!
Enjoy lunch at a benefit ceili over at St. Patrick’s Church. They’ll be serving up Irish food and entertainment from noon until 4 pm. You can also spend some more time over at the Fiddler’s Hearth.
Your evening meal could take an elegant turn at Tippecanoe Restaurant. They are hosting a three-course Irish whiskey-inspired dinner with tasting at 6:30 pm.
To complete the day, South Bend Symphony Orchestra will treat audiences to music from the Emerald Isle from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. Featured performances include Irish Step Dancers, an Irish tenor, and bagpipe serenades.
